The thing I cling to it the thing I fear.
My loved ones left me in my despair,
leaving me quite beyond repair.
It then called to me like a light,
but was truly as dark as night.

It was like taking pills,
At first it was pure bliss,
then was a painful abyss.
I'm like an empty shell,
under the lonely spell.

Those who left are never coming back.
My friends from the start,
who I held in my heart.
It is me who caused it,
a lantern of life that will not be lit.

Some say I cause it myself, wanting to get away but never moving. But you will never admit that you are the reason, you left me without a second thought. So I sit in this dark shadow for eternity, alone, waiting for something... someone.
