Description
"If there is one word that can be used to describe the Forbidden lands; that word is "vastness". Vast open plains, vast mountains stretching far above the clouds, and massive fortresses of the long-gone ancients. But when the mind wanders to the Forbidden Lands, the native inhabitans are what most think of. Skybound beasts that darken the sky with their passing; sentinels and vigilants of the past guarding their citadels since time immemorial. Nothing else of Earth or Heaven in this world compares the them. Having been hunted by arrogant men drunk with self-importance, the Colossi are now not only rare; all sixteen survivng species are critically endangered and ten (marked here with a " "-sign) are already gone. The Forbidden Lands is the only place where they yet remain, and the nature of the lands mean they are nearly impossible to reach. For the first time ever, we can present the true history of the Colossi. How they relate to eachother and what their evolutionary history is. This research will hopefully be an important part of highlighting the already tragic loss of biodiversity in this clade, and ensure that even our children will some day be able to bask in the shadow of these Colossi."
Erno Spiegel - Naturist
A for-fun phylogentic tree made presenting the Colossi of the excellent game "Shadow of the Colossus" as real natural creatures with an evolutionary history.
