This is a card I did several months ago for TOPPS' new Indiana Jones card set.It's not the card I had intended to do, as I was working with a damaged hand (which slowed me down) and their was a miscommunication about the deadline. My original idea had Indy and Theresa walking through the Norse ruins like they are here, but there were skeletons and skulls, and a background.
When I ran out of time, I took my stufy from my sketchbook, scanned it, and colored it; much like how I did the Rogue litho.
I felt that the final was kind of dull, with nothing of interest going on around their legs & feet (all those missing skulls and skeletons), so I cropped in and made the art look like a frame from one of the movies. I'll post that next...
BTW, since I assumed everyone else in the set would be doing moments from the films, I picked as my subject a scene from Dark Horse Comics' INDIANA JONES ADVENTURES, VOL. I, a digest that came out in May of this year. A great little Indy comic that feels very much like the films, especially RAIDERS. Check it out; it's well-written & drawn.

yeah.. the feet its a lil bit plain and the BG too.. i did see some skulls...but i think i just see one skull?? i think ( not sure )... but it still look great and awesome... the lights effect of the flame really gives life on the artnnn its still great despite of lack of BG... nicely done..

This is so wonderful in every way. The colours, especially; so warm and cold at the same time - the whole piece evokes a brilliant sense of exploration and excitement that is truly Indy. Hats off to you!

As a matter of fact, you don't need the skulls and stuff. I'm Swedish and I don't see much of that around here so that's ok 
As for the coloring I'm not that big of a fan when colorists usually hack away at the artist's pages, everything tends to look like rainbow crap with metallic steel pants and plastic highlights everywhere. I mostly like to see the lines and inks more than the over florid colors but if they do have to go to such extremes in their coloring then they should do what you just did with this one. Wonderful coloring and beautiful pencils.
Reminds me a lot of Drew Struzan's work and also have a nice X-Mas touch to it^^

man ur good...so well thought out...every damn inch...even in the snow...i noticed that the snow is completely yellow at the top and half way down has only rim light and fades to complete white at the bottom...so damn good

The likeness is great and I dig the echo of a skull in the background. Gives a hint of what you were saying but giving the whiteout feeling of the snow.

I love this piece, even though Indy's scarf is masking in a weird way Theresa's belt.
I do really love the colors ! I really don't think you have the time to make a tuto, so is there an existing on somewhere ? Maybe a website or a text file somewhere that would explain what kind of tools you use. It could be really interesting.
Does your hand still hurt you ? I hope all this health problems are behind you, because the combo drugs + alcohol isn't really good

It's really too bad you didn't have the time or the fully healthy hand to do this, but it's still amazing! I love your colors! It was what first attracted me to your art...I found it randomly searching for super girls in google and was instantly in love.
