They did. Later variants of it carry a twin barreled Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2 30mm cannon with 750 rounds onboard.

Could have been a GREAT helicopter but it's only armed with a friggin pea-shooter!!!(A DAMNED 50 CALIBER GUN!!) If I made the stupid thing; I would have put a 30MM on it!!!
