Random clump of sketches from a while back, featuring Emp (from Empowered, my ongoing "sexy superhero comedy" series) drawn in an extra-cartoony style inspired by the adorably superdeformed cheesecakery of the French artist Arthur de Pins. Not sure why I haven't tried anything even vaguely SD-ish in the last few decades(!), as drawing that way wouldn't be impossible for me; I just never seemed to think of it, for some reason.Side note: Was amused to notice that, if you botch a de Pins-style head bad enough, it morphs into Annoying Orange in a hurry.

Emp still need to be smaller for an Arthur De Pins look (but the head is perfect). Do you know about the superhero character made in a very similar style (look close to Emp too)? Maybe it's the same artist on a different name, same editor too. The name is "Supersexy" by "Coiffeur pour dames" (yes, weird artist name).
it's a very good multi-talented artist, i met him in a french comic-con, and i can't wait for his Zombiellenium movie since i see the video-clip with the same characters.

she's sooo lovely!! well, I suppose SD style wouldn't have a place in most of your stories, but trying new stuff gives you new resources to employ in your already awesome story-telling... now I'm just curious where this will take you next!
