Description
The final version of a card I did for Upper Deck, featuring Marvel's character Valkyrie about to square off with some "frost golems," or at least that's that I decided to call those critters in the background.Line art by me, fine colors by Guru efx (colorists of LIVEWIRES and the equally ill-fated IRON MAN: HYPERVELOCITY, incidentally). They did an especially kickass job on the "frost golems, " IMHO.

She always makes me think of the Defenders from the '70's. there's a cover where she's crucified and hanging upside-down. serious stuff.

Brilliant layout. The frog eye perspective does wonders for creating a really exciting and dynamic layout! Wow, I didn't even know Marvel had kept her around, the last time I remember seeing Valkyrie was in one of the team up books ages back (ok it was in the 90's) nice to see that you can do an equally great level of character no matter the design!
