I got absolutely nothing against the late David Odgen Stiers, let alone his top notch voice-works such as the narrators for this film and Beauty & The Beast, plus dozens of Disney characters like Cogsworth and Governor Ratcliffe, etc.

On the one hand, though, since they used such an iconic British actor like Sir John Hurt as the Narrator in the preceeding Winnie The Pooh film - The Tigger Movie, I've always imagined what it would've been like if they did the same regarding this film (despite being direct-to-video). I first had actors like Patrick Stewart and even Sir Christopher Lee in mind, but the more I thought of the latter, I didn't think he would've suited that much, since his voice probably would've frightened many youngsters. Then suddenly as I thought of Patrick Stewart, actor Brian Blessed also popped into my mind (since he and Patrick had been pals since their childhood). When choosing between these two, I immediately went with Brian, just 'cause I thought he'd have been the cooler choice seeing how Brian at the time had done voice-work in Tarzan, in which he did Tarzan's yell plus the voice for main antagonist Clayton, and of course the voice of freaking Boss Nass in Star Wars Episode 1. (both of which premiered in 1999, btw)
