My first entry for the "When Lightning was Claire" contest.I guess lightning is about 14 and serah is about 11 here.
When I was drawing their parents, I was thinking 'Lightning must have gotten her partial-spike hair from somewhere, right?'

According to the FFXIII drama CD Claire and Serah's father died when they were very young and their mother died years after. I always see Cloud and Lightning as long lost twins but as father and daughter isn't really bad idea.

Awwww this is so cute!!! Young Claire and Serah!!! *huggles them* Their mom is really pretty, and nice putting Cloud as the dad. XD And I love their necklaces lying together in front of the picture. This is a great idea! ^^

Reminds me of some interviews where Nomura said Lightning's desing was inspired by Cloud's.

Aww, nicely done! Her dad is sort of the odd one out in terms of hair colour, though! And I agree with ~JaguNa . He kind of does look like Cloud Strife from FFVII! Anyway, I like how you made it as a photo in the frame.

based on some sources I read, lightning's hair is supposed to be strawberry pinkish-blond. So I made the mom have a stronger pink-colored hair while the dad a blond one to get light's hair color. But of course that's just my interpretation
