Finally got to painting this one! ^__^ Diana deserved a new portrait for being the sweet, selfless, loving character that she is. Her arms are meant to form a heart shape to express love. Her eyes make me really sad, but the way her arms are show that it's a kind of...sweet sadness, if that makes sense. I like her wings, too. The color is so gentle.

i agree the look in her eyes is somewhat melancholy. though i believe she still loves. well done on that feat combining emotions is difficult to say the least.
the heart shape is intriguing as well. to me it represents a dichotomy, like that shown in her eyes. while the heart shape represents love the body language of her arms crossed before her suggests being closed or guarded.
perhaps this represents the difficulty in unconditionally loving someone... least for us humans

Oooh, some color after a dry spell. (Not that I'm complaining! I love pencil work.) I wouldn't have used the outline on the wings and maybe parts of the arm though...it does make them look bolder, but I wonder if they'd glow or appear more natural without it. Just my opinion.
