Bruno sniffed loudly, trying to ignore the dull ache spreading from around his eye to envelop his full face. Indira sighed loudly behind him as she tied the man’s wrists together tightly behind his back.
“You really shouldn’t have taken a swing at me,” the super fit super spy told the lumbering guard impatiently, “I thought we had a deal! It would have saved so much time!”
Bruno, who had decided he feared the boss of The Lair more than he did the spandex-clad beauty who had tried to persuade him to surrender without a fight, knew he might have been in trouble when his haymaker met empty air. Sure enough this was followed by a swift one-two to his face from the lithe Indira, which dropped the guard like a sack of potatoes.
Bruno sat in miserable silence while he was bound. ‘You are developing a bit of a shiner, honey,” Indira acknowledged cheerily.
‘You don’t say, witch!’ the defeated former tough guy said to himself.
