3 different views of similar renders:Main scene: Horozontal view of a valley, initial effects of explosion apparent.
Top sub-scene: back-angle-light and explosion intensifying
Secong sub-scene: Top view, explosion growing in magnitude exponentially, visible from extreme distance.
Bottom sub-scene: View from slightly above, explosion huge.

technical stuff: Made primarily in bryce3d. Many many touch ups and composition work in Pstudio and Mspaint. Took 8 files, over 30 copy transfers between programs, and about 12 different individual render attempts to get it right.
Objects used:
Two terrains - custom made - "massive resolution"
One light scource
One cloud layer
One ground layer
No sunlight effect, no individual atmosphere
