I've been reminded recently about how little I'm in control of results. Whether you see it not, I do launch a lot of projects I'm excited about, but very few of them actually take off. Still, I will put in the effort because things won't always be immediately successful. I understand hesitancy of people to join something new and unestablished.

However, I can (to an extent) control my mindset and the work I put in. More than anything, I'll remind myself that this is all supposed to be fun. So, while you can't control the results, you can at least try to find the fun in everything, even when things aren't working out as you'd like. Here's to a day of choosing fun!
