Tools like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney aren't even AI. They're just statistical models founded atop a mountain range of theft, burning through untold amounts of electricity.

It'd be great if DeviantArt didn't allow in the people who use these tools. A picture is nothing without the story of an artist or photographer attached, either just starting their journey or honing their craft over years--even decades. Generative images are devoid of any kind of story beyond being yet another loud warning siren that corporations and capitalism are out of control and need to be put down.

These generative "artists" want to pretend that the work they don't do is equivalent to those who put effort into training themselves to learn the tools of the trade and to learn how to observe the world. They observe nothing. They train themselves on nothing, and lie to themselves and everyone else within earshot that picking the right words to type into a prompt takes "skill" as if they aren't the World's Worst Karens and Kevins Commissioning Art From Something That Can't Tell Them To Fuck Off, all while banging their drums and declaring skilled jobs to be obsolete.

These generative "artists" actually *hate* art and the artists who create it. They despise photography and the photographers who capture it. Press them enough about the "democratization" of creativity, and they will divulge their vitriol for any kind of creative endeavour. Invariably, they believe creativity to exist entirely within a realm of technological progression, and for them, photography made painting obsolete, and now they believe their generative sludge will be the same death knell for all that has come before with acceptable casualties along the way.

Fuck these pieces of shit. They don't care if any of us are put out of work or starve. It is 100% morally correct and even imperative to bully the shit out of them, to remind them they are NOTHING, they will NOT be remembered, and they will NOT win.

And fuck DeviantArt for platforming these weirdos and bragging about how much money they're stealing from real artists.
