hmm.. all I can give you for this are a few infos and a bit of my stream of conciousness thoughts..

I did this mainly to try working on a bigger format. lately a lot of people tried to get me to work bigger and since I had a few sheets of paper left anyway I went for it. I still find it really hard to get the proportions right on a bigger format than my sketchpad but I did my best to get the sketch right before painting. I never really worked exclusively in acrylics either. here are some things I'll keep in mind for the next picture. I used a pre mixed flech tone for example that has a horrible flow and came out much too pink.

on the subject matter.. well, after reading my share of Jennifer Roberson stories and rereading Robin Hobb just now it was kind of time for a werebeing/ animal pact picture. The tiger came more naturally than the usual wolf. Don't get me wrong - I love wolves. But it didn't really match her. The tiger eyes are more impressive in the real picture - bright and almost sparkeling. Still the tiger looks a bit like a plush toy. Well .. too late to schnage that. Maybe its a joung, chubby one. There have to be chubby tigers too, right?
