I used to make spacescapes all the time about 10 years ago, but fell out of it. Other than the Galastar DX title art that I posted a week ago, this is the first one I've made in ages. It features the same ship from the title art, which is the player ship in the game. I decided to go for a synthwave style visual for this, since I recently got really into the aesthetic and music, with Galastar DX planning to incorporate those elements into it. The current working name for the piece, "Out Fly" is a play on "Out Run" a racing arcade game that is also another name for Synthwave. I struggled initially with this piece, as, like I said, it's been years, but I managed to get my footing, and glad to say that I still got it.

Part of this was made with the assistance of AI. The underlying ocean and cloud visuals beneath the lower grid were made in Midjourney, as well as the asteroids over the upper grid. Everything else was done using Photoshop, Maya, and Unity (for rendering)
