you can start by hand, then move to illustrator, and then to fontlab.. (my process)
but you can go directly to illustrator to make the letters and place them into a font with fontlab.

well, i would suggest to get the software and books for the software first, then spend a lot of time on that. After that try and make a letter, babysteps, then, do a word, etc... You just have to start to work on it, the beginning is everything and love the motive. Spend time around people spending time on what you want to learn.. you'll pick up something eventually. Draw draw draw draw, you cant imagine how easier it is to work by forming a preview beforehand!

i can't even imagine the amount of work you must have been putting into it...

oh, it was a lot of work! and i enjoy every moment designers get a copy in their hands and work with it! Many friends suggested me to sell it but i insisted giving it out for free! One thing bothers me though... people download it but do not favor it! maybe they are to excited to work with it haha... i don't know, it bothers me though!
