Cartographer's Commentary

So this is my poor attempt at a proper historical map. Although interesting events were occurring in the region around this time, very little of that translates into political boundaries; Pakistan's One Unit Scheme is the exception, and the 1956 Indian States Reorganisation Act occurred just too late to be shown. Oh, and I also wasted about a week of my life doing Nepal's former districts, and I didn't even use them in the end. This awful habit of mine is why maps take me so long; there's so much content left on the cutting room floor that never sees the light of day.
