Description
"Haste personified."
I was quite inspired to draw an elf after watching The Desolation of Smaug (great movie!) * A *
She's originally a character I made for the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, a very powerful Bard/Fighter with Dervish and Swiftblade as prestige! I tried making her design appropriate for the setting, but I think it still has some very eastern influences x-x
... That being said quite a few people have mentioned that she resembles either Evangeline Lilly or Liv Tyler Β

Swiftblade is the PrC. Elf Wizard6/Swiftblade9/Spelldancer1/Abjurant Champion4 with Persistent Ocular Haste. 24 hours of win.

The right leg is vastly out of place here, both by placement and proportion. I would like to suggest finding a pose like this to correct the issues regarding proportion and prespective.
I enjoy the colour scheme and the design as well as the painting techniques on accessories especially the way metal is depicted.

Thank you for the critique, I tried to exaggerate the gesture to make it more dynamic --- I'm not sure how much break there is in the actual anatomy but I feel like the outcome is usually much more interesting than when we try to stick 100% to anatomical accuracy.

The leg appears awkward to me like that, is all. For how high her knee technically is, her right leg feels two heads longer than the left one X_X
I know what you mean, it's more of a proportion-issue I am having with it rather than purely anatomy-based.

again wow..just wow. Colours, shade, composition the energy of the piece..it all looks great.
I don't think she looks like Evangeline Lily/Liv Tyler - think that's due to her being a pretty elven woman with dark hair. She looks like well her own character lol
Love your work ^^

Thank you wanderer, I appreciate the comments ^^Β
I was drawing this with traditional elvish facial features in mind, usually high cheekbones with generally gaunt features, so yep ><

Oooh I love how she seems so dynamic yet relaxed at the same time, and her expression and her hair are so stunning.
