Alma let out a nervous breath before stepping on to the mounting block her foot sliding into Bonnie’s stirrup and hoisting herself up the Warmblood OTX turning her head to nose Alma’s foot obviously picking up on her riders anxiety “you okay aunt Alma?” Eli asked as she walked around the corner having just finished getting Bridget ready for the halter class “hm? Oh yes im fine Eli just tired and definitely out of practice showing” she said reassuring her niece she was not about to weigh her niece down with the real reason her heart was heavy after all this was Eli’s last show before the teen moved to Washington to live and show for OCF, it was also her last show with Bridget the halter mare that she had grown up with “where are the twins?” Alma asked finally realizing that Alma’s beloved twins were not petting Bonnie “they are playing with Greyson and the other kids near the dressage arena” Eli said before the two made their way towards the dressage arena Bonnie doing a little prance the mare excited to get the chance to show off.
Alma led Bonnie into the ring letting a smile slip as she heard the twins gasp Excitedly as they saw their mother eventually she stoped and saluted before she heard the chords to her mothers favorite song begin to play, a faint memory of Ellen singing it with Alma in the car when she had first driven her to Texas for school. Taking a deep breath Alma held her head up and asked Bridget to move beginning their performance
