Holly listened to her parole officer, Jack talk about the barn she was being sent to as part of some program “you will love it there my daughter, Ellen runs the place” jack said as he turned into a drive way surrounded by trees which eventually Revealed a small quiet barn. where an older woman wearing tan stood talking to a younger redheaded woman wearing a teal shirt, the red head immediately broke into a grin when she saw jacks old beat up truck pull in “holly I’d like you to meet my daughter Ellen, and my granddaughter alma” jack said as the pair out out of the car Holly’s hold on her backpack tightening. “Hi holly it’s nice to finally meet you” Ellen said smiling warmly instead of holding her hand out ‘must’ve read my file and knows I’m not to fond of physical contact’ holly thought before giving Ellen a small smile back “alma can you show holly to her room and help her get settled please I have to finish up some paperwork” “sure thing mom!” Alma replied finally letting jack out of the hug she’d been holding him in and leading holly up the stairs and into the house.

“So you will be staying in the main house which is where my mom stays there’s a guest room that you can decorate how you want and you will have your own bathroom” alma said showing hill the guest room “don’t you stay here too? Is there really that many bathrooms?” Holly asked she’d never had her own bathroom and wasn’t sure what to think “oh no I actually live in Texas for school I’m going back tomorrow I was just visiting for a few days” alma answered and soon the pair finished unpacking “so follow me to the barn and I’ll introduce you to Charlie! He’s the horse you’re going to be paired up with!” “Already don’t I have to work first?” Holly asked suddenly guarded “nah! Don’t worry about it! Moms laid back and besides it’s better for you to start getting to know him now!” Alma said leading the younger girl to the barn.

Look I did a story and a picture again! Woo!
When I first heard about the hearts and hooves program that my friend SaandStoorm created I had to participate! I was in a program like this when I was younger and i definitely needed to get involved with this and I’m excited to see where I take this story because I don’t even know where it’s going 😂😂
