UES Seawolf, a Torsk-class light cruiser of the United Earth Stellar Navy, scouts a Romulan base in the Kaph-42 (Chi1 Orionis) starsystem.Chi1 Orionis is a binary system 28 lightyears from Earth. The primary star is a G0 type, with a Red Dwarf companion orbiting at a distance of between 3.3 and 8.9AU. We could imagine any hypothetical planet in the system being subjected to extreme seasons as the companion star passes nearby.
