Description
"Are all humans as slow as you?" He asked, testily.
Harmonia just smiled as she picked up her skirts moving along the uneven stones. "I don't know. Are all Gods as impatient as you? You have infinite time at your beck and call, but still you wish to rush from place to place."
A muscle fluttered in his jaw. "My impatience comes from the need to get you where you need to be before you turn old and grey."
She huffed a laugh and rolled her eyes. "Oh? If that is the case then I expect you to carry me in my old age." He didn't even have a smidgen of sympathy for her. For all he cared she could have laid and rotted of old age while he continued to cross the world alone. For him it would have been much faster to fly than to walk and wait for the slow human. Admittedly, Harmonia did enjoy being his burden. "And where have you taken me today?"
When she caught up to him he kept moving again. "It is a natural gate. Anytime you chance across a rock that creates a door or hallowed out tree it is usually a gate that will take you to another part of the world. Although sometimes they may take you to the spirit world. So take care." - Iliaden Song

Get her a shorter dress then, Bael. GOSH!
I love the fact that you chose greenery to differentiate the gate from the rest of the landscape. It almost stands out more than the glow itself as what marks this an ethereal place.Β

Funny you should mention that, she will be forced into pants at some point but skirts are pretty and flow so nice in paintings LOL but yeah the glow is really just there to show that there is something on the other side. A different time of day/weather entirely from the grim world they're in, but I wanted to showcase the plants that are breaking free of the world on the other side almost welcoming them in

He is a God among men, yes. And he does suffer quite a bit, but they have many layers to their relationship. This is just the angry married couple layer.

Ummm... I...
1. Sketch a rough idea with colors in mind
2. Make thumbnail variations with value compositions in photoshop
3. Find reference photos/paintings
4. Start painting the details
5. Sketch weird things in the painting and then delete them when I start getting bored.
6. Present it for critique in the Brush Sauce Theater community
7. Put it in a box for 5 months and don't touch it.
8. Make the advised changes from the critique and binge watch netflix in between
9. Sign my work Cus signatures are important.

I meant how did you paint? is it pastel? and are you trying to be sarcastic?

Oh well that's more clear! You mean to ask what was the medium I used to paint. I painted it in photoshop CS6, I don't really use traditional anymore. And no sarcasm at all, that is legitimately how I painted it.

I believe you, always to what you said. I know you just want to make me smile of your sarcasm I thank you for that. So how did you paint it. to what part did you do I meant how did you do it?
I'm asking because I'm an illustrator I use to work with grayscale, the way I impress of other artist like you is that, I notice your painting when I zoom it, it looks like you use an opacity changeable brush?

Hm... hard to say... lemme refer you to www.youtube.com/user/jair428 and www.youtube.com/user/TylerE228β¦ Basically every technique I use is something I learned from them. Moreso from Tyler since I've been following him longer. I typically don't paint over greyscale but Jeremy does so you could probably learn more from him.
Oh and I always have the opacity turned on for pressure sensitivty, but I didn't use any brush variations here for color or shape or anything.
