Description

Link is a talented and mature young Elite. His skills are unrivalled and his kindness unmatched. He is not only well known for being one of the greatest Elites there ever was (and the youngest to become one), he is also known to be a good friend, but even so, there is much of him that not many people know, including one secret that must never be discovered. Link may not talk much, but when he does, he would always speak words of wisdom, with a bit of sarcasm... well, mostly sarcasm... It's his way of showing he cares.

Original Concept

This concept of Link actually stemmed from lurking in the web. I don't recall exactly what I was searching for, however, I came across a thread about The Legend of Zelda, Link specifically, and it got me thinking, "What if Link [SPOILER]?" Then it came to me. What if? This "What if?" is what created Mystic Gauntlet. It also became the secret that Link holds dear. His design, though keeping with some of the cannon Links' key features, was based around this secret. The rest just fell into place.

Story UpdatesLink's Past

When infultrating a Gerudo stronghold along side Leos , Nabil and Goga , Link went face-to-face with his worst nightmare, his mother and father. Though shaken, Link managed to overcome the illusion and defeated the Gerudos behind it. Oke, who notices Link's uneasiness, asks him what had happened to him. That's when Link reveals his dark past. He tells Oke about his parents and how they suddenly went crazy and attacked him. In order to save himself, Link had no choice but to kill them. He's certain that the strange purple flower that he gave to his mother moments before was the cause of their madness and that the flower has no affect on him.

After a week of training, Link was sent out to do reconnaissance at another Gerudo stronghold, however, he was discovered. When captured, the Gerudos tried to force a strange purple flower onto him, similar to the one Link found as a child. The Gerudos discovered that the flower has no affect on Link, so they throw him in a cell. He escapes, only to find that Leos , Nabil and Goga have also been captured.

Link manages to pinpoint his friends' location to a room that is filled with the strange purple flowers and the Elites, unfortunately, are under its spell. The Gerudo general that commands the stronghold tells Link of the flower, which they have named "Wish Flowers ", and orders the Elites to attack him. Link manages to snap them out of their mind control, allowing them to defeat the Gerudo general and destroy the purple Wish Flowers .

Leos in Love

Upon hearing of the party the King plans to throw in order to get his daughter married, Princess Zelda devises a plan to make sure none of her suitors would want to marry her, which involved dressing Link up as a girl. Having no other choice, Link accepts and takes up the guise of Lynne, a rich young girl from a fictitional city that nobody has ever heard about but never bothered to question. Using a perfume version of the love potion created by the princess, Link seduces all the men in the party, including the King, Leos and Goga , and an arrogant prince by the name Kedehern. Nabil , who had allergies that night, was not affected by the love perfume, which allowed him to see Link (as Lynne) defend himself against Kedehern, causing Nabil to suspect him (which he thinks is a her) of being a spy.

Though Link's disguise was only meant for that one night, the King did not want Lynne to leave, so Link was forced to remain as Lynne for a month. During that month, Lynne was kidnapped by Prince Kedehern and taken to the Kedehern Kingdom, where he intends to make Lynne his queen and rule the kingdom. Lynne escapes his grasp to find Eppenos, his twin brother who has fallen victim to his plots. Together, they were able to rescue the queen and stop Prince Kedehern from taking over.

Even after Lynne's kidnapping, Nabil couldn't shake away his suspicions. In order to trap Lynne, he made up some fake research. Lynne fell for the trap and was put to sleep by Nabil 's "research". While looking for a place to put Lynne, Nabil ran into Goga , who chased him down inorder to recover Lynne. During the chase, Nabil slips, dropping Lynne onto a crate of pillows. The splinters cut Lynne's dress, revealing that Lynne was Link all along. When Nabil and Goga  confront Zelda about it, Prince Florence breaks the news that the King wants to marry Lynne. They then come up with a plan to "kill" Lynne by using a Fake Death Potion.

On the day planned, Lynne is being escorted to the city by Ro and Jaden when Leos arrives. Planning to convince Lynne to reject the King's future proposal, Leos dismisses the brothers and gives Lynne a white ribbon, which becomes Lynne's trademark. While Nabil and Goga try to go along with their plan, Leos keep intercepting them, causing Nabil to take drastic measures. Armed with his bow, Nabil shoots an arrow dipped in the Fake Death Potion close to Lynne's heart, causing Lynne to die before Leos ' eyes. The next day, Nabil and Goga escorts the body out of the castle. Lynne awakens, free to be Link once again. The three return to the castle and continue with their lives. Link continues to wear the ribbon Leos gave to Lynne, in hopes that he can one day tell him the truth.

Nabil's Big Wedding

After returning from the Zora Domain, Link is entrusted with a letter from the King that must be delivered to Naveen Exten. Once inside his home, Link overhears a conversation between Naveen and a chubby old man. The chubby man demanded to see Nabil and spoke of serious consequences if his demands weren't met. After delivering the letter, Link rushes back to the castle and tells Nabil what he has heard. Nabil , worried for his family, decides to return home. He begs Link to keep his whereabouts a secret.

The next day, Goga starts to worry about Nabil 's whereabouts. Leos , who won a bet against Nabil and hasn't received his money yet, helps Goga in his search. Their search brings them to Link who, although was unable to lie to Leos , would not spill the beans. After some torture, Link finally cracked and told them where Nabil is. They go to Nabil 's old home only to realize that he has been taken to the Winston Family . They visit him numerous times, however, Nabil won't leave until he can secure his family's safety. On one visit, the group discover Nabil laying in a puddle of blood. Thanks to Link and the others, Nabil miraculously survives.

A week later, a worried Goga asks Link to check on Nabil . Link, being a little worried himself, he goes to the Winston house to find Nabil awake, but with amnesia. Link returns to Goga with the news. Goga , much more worried than ever, begs Link to help him do his chores so he may visit Nabil . The next day, after doing their chores, Link and Goga visit the Winston house. Overwhelmed by the maze-like halls, they decide to split up. Link runs into Madeline , who reveals to him her greatest treasure, a pink Wish Flower that she received from Nabil 10 years ago. Shaken, Link steals the flower and shows it to Leos and Goga . They ask Nabil about it, in hopes that he will recover his memory. Nabil tells them that he received that flower from Winston . Link, Leos and Goga return to the castle and try to figure why Winston would give Nabil the flower when Oke shows them documents stating that Winston is in cahoots with the Gerudo and that he will be arrested. Afraid that Nabil will get caught in the crossfire, they devise a plan to help Nabil escape.

Link, Leos and Goga infiltrate the house when Nabil tells them that he's getting married the next day. He gives Link invitations to the wedding and leaves. Link comes up with a plan, however, Leos completely ignores him, so he decides to do it himself. The next day, the day of the wedding, Link goes to the Zora Domain and tells Nabil 's actual wife, Isis, of the predicament Nabil is in. The both of them go to stop the wedding. They discover that Nabil never lost his memory and that he is now the owner of both the Exten and the Winston companies. Link and the other defeat Winston 's men and bring him to justice. Link, with many questions, visits Winston 's cell in hopes for answers. Winston tells him that the pink flower he gave to Nabil 10 years ago was given to him by the Dark Lord Ganondorf.

Mystic Gauntlet

Due to the King's illness, Link and the other Elites must escort Prince Florence by carriage to the Kedehern Kingdom to discuss war strategies. On the way to the Kedehern Kingdom, the gang gets ambushed by a group fairies, who were drawn by the prince's music. By irritating the horses that pull the carriage, the fairies separate the prince from the rest of the group. Link, who managed to hang on to the carriage, caught up to them, however, he falls onto a bush of poisonous thorns, causing him to collapse.

A few days later, Link wakes up in the castle. Leos tells him that the prince has not been found. Just then, Link meets Po, a small fairy who was separated by her group. She tells Link that it is impossible to visit the fairies' secret hideout unless you have an ancient artifact used by the fairies, however, there is only one of these, and the other fairies have it. Thankfully, she remembers an old fairytale that can help them recreate it. She proposes that they band together in order to make the artifact, that way Link will be able to recover the lost prince and she can return back home. Link agrees and helps her collect the ingredients needed to make the artifact.
