another quickie--this time we return to Bruce Campbell! Or his character from the Evil Dead films, Ashley Williams.

While Ash does eventually become amazingly badass (especially by the second film)--it's really hilarious how completely useless he is through the first half of the first movie.

A lot of the time he stands or sits in the background looking shocked while Scotty gets attacked--that or he gets trapped under a bookshelf. At one point I'm *pretty* sure he even runs into the wall for no apparent reason.

It's great. Part of me kind of likes useless-Ash even more than badass-Ash. Just a bit.
