Another sneak peek to my next project, apart from the one that I'm doing with Ashman718 . I figure that I'll post my works in progress here, since that's the sort of thing I kind of should be doing. Whoops.The final version of this will have Knuckles as well.

Funny you should mention, actually. Despite these characters being viewed at a sideways angle, their legs are drawn at a slight 3-quarter angle. This is to give some slight asymmetry in their cycles' motion. Otherwise, their silhouettes would give an even stronger impression of leg animation repeat instead of alternation (and thus be uninteresting).
That, and Sonic's doing more of a happy, skipping motion instead of sprinting.

Very nice work as usual, though I'm kind of confused as to why Tails doesn't just fly to keep up with Sonic like he usually does.

Because they're in this for the long haul. They're gonna run as long as you watch them, so we can't have Tails go and exhaust himself by flying.

True, though I'd imagine he'd be exhausted from running as well. As far as I've ever seen, Sonic is the only character who never tires from running. It's amazing that his friends have been able to keep up with him all of these years.
