Description
Me and a couple friends decided to do an Expression Challenge with the emotions you see above. I chose Sam because he's so expressive (also he's precious and I love him).First one done, but I'll be linking the others in when they're done. :3
Anyway brief commentary:
Envy: Sam isn't the type of person who gets jealous over petty things. If he wants something you have, he could just steal it, but he doesn't put a great deal of stock in materialistic things. He would, however, get a little jealous over really happy people/families. Which is why he looks both hurt and jealous. :>
Jubilant: His probable reaction when he found out his twin sister Phoebe got into the Elite 4. XD He's such a supportive brother.
Laughing: IDK he's just adorable
Frustrated: Probably trying to argue with John... And has already lost completely.
Surprised: Tisha said something nice to him.
Smolder:
Curious: His "I want to know what this is" face- doubles as "I just might steal that" face
Horrfied: Could be a lot of things.

Envy version seems more like stressed and desperate to me, yet still there is a hidden gesture of calm-frustration which leads to envy in my mind.

The frustrated face reminds me so much of his response to Cat not wanting a mustache.Β (Don't suppose she's considered trimming it, or straight-up shaving it off?)
Also the horrified face makes me wonder if he's stumbled onto 4chan.

"Why do you do this to me."Β Swear to god I just about died.Β (Not much good in battle, but super cute!Β It's okay, Sam, just get yourself a gameshark and hack her some nasty moves, you'll be fine.)
And Sam's face is really the only appropriate response to it.Β Seriously though, we don't even know that much about Sam yet and I think he may well be my favourite just from his expressions.Β Sam and Liam, methinks.Β

I also love that everyone loves Sam just as much as I do... He went from "not going to be in The Fall" to "He'll be a minor character" to now, "I will find a way to make him appear as a main character". :'D

It's funny how that happens, isn't it?Β I have a character in my Nuzlocke (storylocke, I can't draw comics to save my life; backgrounds will be the death of me, I swear) who was a semi-side, semi-main character, and I'm pretty sure she's become more popular amongst my small readership than the main protagonist.Β Go figure.
It's not at all surprising that Sam is so popular.Β He's got the best expressions and a fantastic personality.Β And he seems to be one of the few characters in The Fall who's almost always smiling, which sets him apart.Β

It's always the ones you least expect... ... Or in the case of Liam, exactly the one you expect.
... ... I seriously just realize how little most of the characters smile. :'D At first I was like, "Well there's Arnold... Wait, no, he's been a bit angsty" and then, "... Leaf- yeah she's not always happy... Penny? Nope, I ruined her life. Uhhhhh... ... Liam??"
But there is also Tisha, she's pretty happy too. X) But Sam... ... Is so charismatic and eccentric that... I don't know. I just love him.

Tisha's also pretty damn cool.Β I think the Rangers in general are some of the most interesting characters in the entire Nuzlocke.Β They're side(ish) characters, but still have amazing development, unique appearances, and detailed backstories, all of which just make them seem more real.Β Most Nuzlockes I've read don't go into anywhere near as much detail with their side characters and still manage to keep the story interesting.Β Yet another thing to love about The Fall.

Awwww... Thanks! I think. Hahah, it's kinda weird that my side characters are more popular than my main characters, but it's also awesome because I love them too.
