Description
"The Last Unicorn" is both a favourite movie and book of mine. Here, the unicorn has returned from her journey, the same and yet changed, bearing a burden of regret that not even coming home can relieve.Not sure if I'm finished with this one ... durr.

I saw the film when I was a small child and read the book later. I have shared this film with my friend's daughter and she's now hooked. Hopefully I can find a copy of the book to read to my 6 yr old niece. Thank you for creating something that reflects one of the favorite parts of my childhood.

Beautiful color choices. I recently bought this film because I had loved it as a kid, and seeing it as an adult, I can see why. It's pretty deep for a cartoon, isn't it? I havent read the book, but I can say you've done justice to the character. She's very mystical... I kind of want to watch it again, now.

It took me a second to see the figure in the background XD I love it. This piece is a beautiful and whimsical portrayal of a wonderfully touching story. I loved the movie as well, though it wasnt as popular. You can tell that there seems to be an innocent, almost naive aura about the unicorn yet her eyes reveal what could be seen as sadness, regret, or even a wisdom beyond her years. You did an amazing job at portaying that. Great job

I'm not sure if I'll ever be as enchanted by a story as that one. It certainly was a childhood favorite that I can't deny still feels whimsically beautiful and really kind of makes me want to cry. Not so much for being sad... but being touched.
I also think it helped that the movie didn't seem like... anyone else knew about it. I mean, it wasn't running reruns on TV or having a billion children's cups made from the illustrations.
Anyhow, you did a wonderful job with the piece and it certainly does the story justice.
