Description Victory glared, her snout heated in front of her and the red sky dragon looking shameful as he stared at her.

"Don't talk to me," the icewing hybrid snapped at him ", I'm mad at you."

Ari tipped his long neck towards the pale blue dragoness and squeezed his golden eyes shut. She turned her head away from him, huffing, sending a snort of frost breath towards her wings.

"You have every right to be..." The skywing sounded defeated, his voice was horse and quiet, as he had sounded when they were young dragons.

"Of course I do!" Victory snapped at him, turning her head back to him and bearing her teeth at him ", You left me. You left our Children. Because what? You were guilty?"

They stared at each other, traces of sadness etched into both of their faces. Ari glanced away from the hybrid. He didn't want to look at the face he had loved since they were young, the face he still loved with all of his being. The dragoness whom he had two children with, the dragoness he had abandon his children and his wife to be with, even if just for a year.

"Blizzard and Drift..." He hesitates on the names of his children, refusing to look at Victory ", They are better off without me. I have a wife. A family, they need me."

"Blizzard and Drift are SIX," Victory snarled, her words as cold as her scales, her gills flared with anger and sadness ", Your daughter is a queen. Your son is with me and your wife-"

"Don't talk about my wife..." Ari snapped at Victory. He'd not raised his voice in years. Not since the argument he had had with his wife those six years ago. Not since he had held his youngest dragonets they day they hatched. Not since Victory came back to him.

Victory flinched slightly, drawing her head back and looking at the ground. Ari reached out to her, pressing his snout to the side on hers and closing her eyes. Her face contorted into a face of pain, heartache, and loss. Ari wanted nothing more than to wrap his wings around her and bury his snout into her neck, hold her, comfort her, be there for her.

"She hates me..." Ari whispered against her snout ", And if I leave she will break."

Victory jerked her head away from the skywing prince. Shaking her head as she let her face contor into that agonizing heartbroken face. She looked up at him, her bright eyes shining with tears. Then as quickly as she scanned his long angular face, she turned away. Harshly, as if she had to force herself to turn away from him.

"And I didn't?"
