The past melts away as the thoughts
of the present mingle with the sadness
of the future.
A future I will share
with the dead.

I want to let go, truly I do,
But all I see in my mind is you.
The memories fade like my tears in the rain
Some are of joy, some are of pain
There are those I will bury in a forgotten grave
There are those I thought maybe I could save.
I want to remember the times that we had
Right now though, I'm just too sad.

Remorseless I seem.

I can't let my weakness for those I love
Become visible

All thoughts are gone into the abyss
emotions are broken, I will not miss
the feelings I had for people like you
perhaps it's time you forget them too

Go back to your life; there's no time to mourn
It hurts to see you lifeless and torn

Forever haunted by ghosts
That reek with the stench of happier days
I can't seem to forget you.

Let's dress in black and watch a parade
in which all of my hopeless thoughts are laid
Out in the open, for all to see

I'm the tearless one, with a heart of stone
Forever living her life alone.
Painting pictures of lovers now lost
But you were never touched by my frost

You tell me I'll see you again.
You neglect to mention where.
Will it be the cemetery, filled with the
bodies of former friends,
or do you truly have hope
that you can still save my broken soul? If so,
return to me.
