Full color bust commission for Tysharina of their lovely dragon Tysha~Finally getting around to finishing commissions!
This was from like, forever ago. Bleh. Finally got off my lazy bum and finished.
Tried out a few new things on this, in the shading technique and in the scales texture. The scales were painted individually. Took a bit of trial and error getting the right brush settings for them. Had my doubts as to if it actually looked good, but I got opinions for a few people and they all said it looked nice so I kept it. Still feeling a bit iffy about the scales, but I'm always iffy about things I do :v
The shading was all done on one layer, painty styled. Just a little unsatisfied with the shading, especially on the belly scales. I think the added scale texture also threw me off when it came to shading. I do like how her mane turned out though, so that's a thing heh. Gunna ned more practice with making it not so harsh. I got away with it here 'cause the hair is black, but on any other color, the shading would have turned out terrible~
After adding in some touch-ups in photoshop, I think it turned out pretty nice. Will have to work on my technique, but I always think I do.

Very neat! The outlines look so good and I really love the texture on the scales. And only 7 hours? Holy crap, I couldn't get done something like this even in a month...
