Love spriting, but also hate it, because you have to work with tiny little pics XDAll the sprites in the HGSS Style of my PokΓ©mon OC, Utakata Shiraishi... in his regular clothes... I was going to make alsothe surfer clothes sprites, but got tired XD
Hope you can notice his bag in the overworld sprites.. because it is really small
The animated version of the trainer would look sth like this ^^ [link]
Used a lot of help from the sprites from the game (also used some parts of existing characters)

It looks like you took Palmer's hair and used that for them all. It would've added to the character more if you gave him a unique hairstyle.

well, I didn't do that .___., when I first drew my character I wasn't thinking of that Palmer guy.. this is the pic of my character in my own style.. it still isn't in dA because I haven't finished the coloring: [link]

Even though you say spriting is a lot of hard work, I think you should certainly do more.
The outcome is most definitely rewarding in every way, by the looks of it. You even animated it! It's seriously amazing. The shading, outlines, tones, positions, everything is so like the original Pokemon games! (I know you used some of the original game sprites to help and copy off, but still, it takes quite a bit of work to get it to look like your own character!).
Seriously wonderful, I love it. Maybe you should make some more characters or more scenes with your character here? That'd be amazing to see in your sprite style!

yeah, two more friends and I are working on a fanfic (with our three characters), maybe I will try to make the other two characters, or maybe I can try making the fakemons I did ^^

Oh wow really? That'd be terrific if you could do them in sprite form as well. Maybe getting more practice in there will make you want to sprite more often as well? When you do more projects you find easier ways to do things xD
