Matsuko 10 year anniversary!The History of Matsuko's creationafter struggling for years to come up with the perfect green (my favorite color) haired character to be my mascot, especially around 2009-2012, mainly taking inspiration from:,I would draw different girls, giving them blue eyes and usually mixing red, blue and sometimes green in their outfits and thinking... nah... she just ain't it... ,so in 2012 while searching for THICC/pose references i ran into:,and i thought... wow.. that's a really cute hairstyle to try, as I had never previously considered one exposing the forehead or a hairclip, and thought.. damn... lemme use this... and as another mix-up, i decided to try red eyes as well as give her outfit pink instead of red as i prefer pink on anime girls, pink being my 3rd favorite hair color to green and blue... with Pink and Blue becoming the main 2 colors she wearsso it was on July 19 2012 I drew this, fell in love with her design, and the rest was pretty much history... I became ADDICTED to drawing her and have done so hundreds of times since,can't find the reference i used for this imagine, giving her an umbrellai simply just called her "Umbrella Girl" until i eventually settled on "Matsuko" for the honestly boring reason that it sounds similar to "Mascot"i must've completely forgotten about this unfinished drawing from Feb 2012 as it pretty much IS Matsuko but with a previous girls colors, and had a completely different reference for the hairstyle. just goes to show you how you can do things subconsciously ... anyway, I'm glad i never settled on it,so here are the first 5 pictures I ever drew of "Umbrella Girl" as well as the first time I drew her in her Honey Outfit and the 3rd time in her Pink Blue Bikini, which is the first full body in it.. there's just way too many pre-DA drawings of her to show here.. funny how I joined in 2017, the 5th year of drawing herand yes.. her boobs weren't originally supposed to be so huge, but with my obviously amazing anatomy back then, I would sometimes draw them way too big and thought... well shit, why not????I don't remember why I decided on orange and yellow for the umbrella, which became her next 2 main outfit colors,,,,,,,,,,,,,I also couldn't for the longest time decide what the back of her hair looked like, so I actually never really drew it until October 2015 when I decided to give her another hairclip. I figured a butterfly would be pretty standard and cute,so fun fact, the above is actually the first time the back of her hair made sense and also the first time I had given her an official school uniform, which colors were later changed to her standard pink and blue, cause why notnow unfortunately it wasn't until August 2021 that it was pointed out to me that the front of her hair made no sense :(,live and learn i guess... sorry, still no bio, if it aint' perfect, I'm not releasing it... but she's a 16 yo 2nd year HS student... and despite being my favorite character architype, as well as game and anime type, she's not a fighting/battle/warrior girl, but she is good at sports and that's 2nd for meso yea, thanks so much you guys for all the love and support, especially for my mascot charactersorry I take forever to respond to comments, just too busy doing shit lol
