Description
Calosoma inquisitor or Lesser caterpullar-hunter. The margins of the elythrae were very pretty, though the beethe itself was quite ferocious. It threatened me and even bit into my finger when I handled it. Luckily, its mandibles couldnt penetrate my skin. I had to save it from a forest path, where even cars were occasionally driving through.Hungary, 2022.05.11.
