I always loved Polynesian Maori tattoos, because for Maoris, it’s not so much about the tattoo but about the meaning of it. To begin, I’ve done a turtle (honu) symbol of union, rest, peace… then I did an elephant, which is not actually Maori, but rather a deep symbol of longevity and wisdom. For the effective project it is a composition of my four favorite wild animals: shark, for strength and adaptability… penguin, for family… turtle, for rest… dolphin, for freedom and playfulness. In a way I tried to describe how I see myself. The media also tells a lot about me, since pyrography is ‘writing with fire’, which is what I always try to do, to write, make something that remains non-fading inside people.
