Description
Before there was a Romulan Neutral Zone there was a time when the people of Earth had no idea that such warlike people were plying nearby interstellar space, it was only a matter of time before these alien warriors would find Earth.
As luck would have it, Romulans found Earth shortly after the Enterprise NX-01 was launched on its first interstellar mission. But that it seems was not the first time!
A Romulan Bird of Prey from the time of the NX-01 was caught in a temporal rift, which first carried them forward to the time of the last Constitution Class Refits. There they encountered the USS Vanguard NCC-1973. A battle was promptly initiated when the Romulans launched an attack.
All the energies in the battle caused an alarming effect on the nearby rift which was not yet fully closed. The rift opened wider until it had engulfed the two ships, yanking both back through time to just after the Phoenix’s Historic first flight.
Now while a celebration is in progress on Earth involving Humans and their new friends the Vulcans, unknown to them a battle rages in space between the two ships. It is being fought not far from Earth.
