Two down, one to go. This time it's Wolperpower, Bunfire's final evolution! This one was simultaneously the most frustrating and the most fun. I had a tough time deciding on a concept to incorporate into these designs to support the sound theme. I considered jets (because they're loud), thunderstorms (because they're loud and are part of jackalope lore), and space (for the opposite reason: in space, no one can hear you scream). They were all solid enough ideas that I couldn't make up my mind... and then I got "Frequency" by Starset stuck in my head. Space it is.

I kept a lot of the superhero vibes that Immolapin had, but made it a space-themed Fire/Psychic-type. The ears are like little radar dishes, turning every which way to listen for trouble. I made the cape a scarf to give the impression of a wolpertinger's wings, with a collar of fur meant to look like the part of a spacesuit where the helmet attaches, exaggerated to cover the lower face. (Yeah, I know it kinda looks like Raboot's turtleneck, but I feel like it still works.) The antlers are meant to look like they're wrapping around a dome, implying the shape of a space helmet without an actual helmet, but I don't know how well I pulled that off. The purple and pink in the color scheme may seem a little out-there, but I actually got those from the colors in which I hear the aforementioned song, because I always experience music visually as well (which goes with the auditory theme, come to think of it). It helps that the colors work well for other reasons: purple is a mysterious, powerful, space-y color, and the pink flames help unify that with the other fire colors.

Overall, I think the Bunfire line gets the "Most Improved" award out of the three. But there's still one more, and I'm looking forward to posting it too!
