"I don't know? Probably with her wife! Or, kidnapped!" Rose spoke, but her pitch angered Asha!

Asha tightened her grip and gave Rose a jolt. "I told you to be quiet!" A harsh whisper shot into Rose's ear. "Now, let's try that again. Who all is on the ship?"

Rose's jaw relaxed as Asha lessened her grip. "They didn't hire you? I thought you were their sentry."

"This isn't a conversation." Asha squeezed Rose's jaws again. "Who are they?"

"Envoys from the Industrialist Garrick-"

"Hmm." Asha gripped Rose's mouth closed again mid sentence. "Well, I guess I can get rid of them."
