Description
The Imperium of Uroth has been ruled by the Exalted for untold centuries, dominating the arid realms of the north with might, magic, and fear. For generations, they have used their knowledge of breeding and secret spellcraft to twist the bodies and minds of their vanquished enemies, steadily transforming entire populations into pitiable, hideous beasts of burden - as well a monstrous menagerie of inhuman creatures collectively known as Warbreeds, which have long served their masters in battle. While the Warbreeds are perfected in their various combat roles, they ultimately serve as a horrific warning to any who would dare stand against the Exalted. While many would risk death for freedom, few would condemn their entire line, and that of their people, to the curse of being transformed into a Warbreed.

The Exalted have perfected their profane techniques over time, ultimately subjecting their own progeny to the most refined transformations possible, each successive generation more intelligent, powerful, beautiful, and long-lived than the last - until, eventually, the Exalted became just as inhuman as their countless victims. They now see themselves as unquestionably superior to the rest of humankind, having become so vainglorious they believe no lesser race should have the privilege of looking upon their perfect visage. Though their warrior caste revels in the effortless domination of lesser foes in combat, they will never lower themselves to fighting on foot. They are most often seen riding opulent scythed chariots into battle, drawn by heavily armored Ravagers - a specialized breed of Warbreed monstrosity, hideously durable and strong, routinely driven into a fearless rage by the spellcraft of their Exalted masters.
