Description It is not easy to publicly interpret one's own dreams. This is why I select those that are not too personal. When I select a dream to interpret the major criteria is actually sharing not per se the dream, but the methodology that helps us interpreting them.
I do not rely on dream dictionary because I do not believe that the same dream can have the same significance for a different person, with a different lifestyle, with different beliefs system, with different narrative and memories, and a different personality.

For interpretation of dreams I use a free association technique as recommended by Jung. I asked myself what does the subconscious try to tell me? What is the lesson I need to learn? For each dream I ask a very personalised question according to its content.
Sometimes the answer that comes to my mind is very meaningful, in which case I might take into account especially if it seems to be a solution to a problem.
This is why we should not take dreams lightly. If our mind is trained to find solutions in our dreams it can only make us more creative. Kekule, the chemist did find the structure of the benzene in his dream. Mozart was composing music in his dreams. Robert Louis Stevenson was inspired by his dreams when he wrote his books.
Being preoccupied with dreams at some point helps us to achieve lucid dreaming. In a lucid dream you can be whoever you want and do whatever you want, exactly like Neo in the Matrix movie. People who practice this find it an exciting experience.

The cover picture is the representation of a dream I had on 25.11.2022. This was a lucid dream. So I was dreaming and I was aware that I was dreaming. Despite being lucid I did not interfere because what was happening was interesting enough to capture my attention.

In the dream I saw slices of vegetables -especially green pepper - falling slowly in a bowl. The dream was amazingly similar to the drawing exercises I do.
Due to the rational involvement the dream vanished, being replaced by the picture of real drawings I have made in the past.
The interior of the bowl is the representation of the dream, whereas outside the bowl I drew the images that came in my mind immediately after the dream and directly related to the dream content.

Possible interpretations of the dream
I made this cautious statement because we only guess the interpretation of the dream and we cannot be 100% sure that they deliver exactly the message we think they deliver. Despite such uncertainty, as mentioned before dreams can really provide us with good solutions.

Interpretation one
This interpretation needs context. I started drawing 3 years ago. In order to improve my drawings I have a set of pictures that I repeat and I draw them without any model. I have a repertoire of 200 pictures, organised in 20 domains, but at this stage I cannot draw them at a level I would like. This is why periodically I do quick sketches. For the picture I master, the sketch takes only a few seconds, but it takes much more for more complicated domains such as architecture, cars, figures drawing. In the past I have done periodic cycles of going again and again through the 20 domain. It might seem to take a tremendous amount of work, but actually improving skill is rewarding and it takes less and less time to go through the whole lot. Revising the domains makes me more skilful, especially when reflecting on what can be improved with each picture I am drawing.

In the last few months I did not draw on a daily basis as before. So the interpretation of this current dream was to restart drawing. As from now one I intend to invest at least 30 minutes per day, which I think is more than reasonable for somebody like me who does not work directly in art or design. Drawing sessions are very rewarding, so it is worth investing that time in creative art.

Interpretation number 2

Recently I made a decision to introduce a larger variety of vegetables in my diet and to eat less meat. In the last few months a non meat dish was always more appetising to me than a dish with meat. Thus the dream with vegetables can be somehow a confirmation that the choices with regards to my diet are in line with the subconscious choices.

Interpretation number 3
On the day prior to the dream I did eat vegetarian food so the memory of that recent event might have influenced my choice

Interpretation 4
I have looked online what vegetable can mean in dreams. I found the following "The dream of seeing vegetables signifies the image of health in your mind. Usually, people will think of plants as a solution to improve their diet and health." I was not expecting this and I was prepared to reject set interpretation. However this interpretation practically is the same as my number 2 interpretation.

Conclusion of the dream interpretation
I think that the final interpretation somehow incorporates all the alternatives mentioned above.
Plan of action:
I did restart drawing and as I mentioned, it is a rewarding experience. One of the best ways to keep in touch with the drawing is to draw my dreams. I find this a fascinating experience.
With regards to vegetables in my diet - I always feel more energetic if I eat vegetables and more sluggish if I eat meat. So I am going to stick to the healthier choice.

Note that it is my intention to use the articles to develop and describe a holistic model of the brain. For that reason the articles I write are divided in 6 series as follows:

1) History of art and art analysis series (in which art is seen as a gate to our subconscious and creativity)

2) Dream interpretation (in which dreams are seen as major contributor to self knowledge)

3) The holistic model of the brain, mind, and consciousness (contains mainly articles of how to develop creativity and different forms of intelligence, focusing mainly on spiritual, emotional, moral, and social intelligence,)

4) Cultural exploration and mindful traveling (focusing on how to gain self knowledge and how to enrich our inner life when traveling)

5) Leadership and self leadership (focusing on how to fight toxic leadership and also stressing that if you want to be a leader you need to learn self leadership)

6) Environment and Mother Earth series focus on inspiring people to protect the environment, which ultimately springs from a feeling of sacredness towards nature.
