Project Shogun

Status – Prototype Testing Stage 3 Initialized

Summary -

Work to replicate and enhance the “improved” weapons used by the mutants in the DC and Massachusetts areas continues, showing promise on a number of fronts. Enhanced melee weapons development has resulted in a working prototype that combines advanced Enclave reactor technology and superior metallurgy with effective degenerate “native” weapon designs.

The 10 μm micro-filament tungsten-neocarbine blade has proven to withstand properly aligned strikes when used by Power-Armor Equipped Enclave Special Operatives at full force without damage. Further, integration with Miniaturized Exagen Fusion Recyclers have yielded an enhanced weapon capable of striking with extreme energy yields with negligible reduction to the initial Plasmic Reservoirs. This, combined with the rapid energy regeneration matrix, results in a weapon with plasmatic stopping power, but with a trivial energy demand.

Status – Development has entered field testing stages, and prototypes have been replicated and provided to Enclave Forward Outposts Theta Six, Omicron Twelve, and Psi Thirteen. Further testing will focus on reactor stability, longevity, and radiation shielding under field conditions. Initial Field Testing will run for three months, or seven standard mission cycles.

ADDENDUM:

If I get so much as a single report of anyone referring to Project Shogun as the “Plasmabob” I will personally use whoever’s responsible as the testing medium for its next quality assurance trials!
