Amber nodded, trying not to show the worried look on her face. Josh was still one of her best friends, even though they'd broken up weeks ago. When Veni didn't sense him on Cerebro, did that mean he was... was... dead? No, of course not. She continued driving her Jeep, ignoring the watchful eye of Veni that was set on her. Josh had to be okay... he had to be.

Logan clenched his teeth as Jean poured alcohol on his wounds. Even though he was indestructible, he could still feel pain at times. Jean frowned and dabbed at the cuts.
"I still do not see how they could possibly have gotten away." She sighed, putting more alcohol on the rag.
"She, Amber, had a vile of Magneto's blood with her. She stuck me to the wall." Jean's eyes widened.
"What?" Logan looked at her, confused.
"Exactly what I said. She-" Jean cut him off.
"I know what you said! But was Amber Kahne here tonight?!" Logan sighed in frustration.
"Yes! Why?" Jean pressed a button and spoke into it.
"Professor, could you come down here please?" She seemed panicked. Logan sat up.
"Jean, what the heck is going on?!"
"You'll see, just hold on." She sighed in relief as the professor rolled in.
"What is it, Jean? You're mind seems very blurred and scared at the moment."
"I'm sorry professor, but Logan told me that Amber Kahne was here tonight!" The professor's face went pale and he stuttered.
"A-Are you s-sure?" Logan stood up.
"Why is everyone so dang scared of this girl? I could easily have taken her down if it wasn't for that stupid blood." The professor breathed in slowly, turning to Logan.
"Many years ago, there was an attack at the school. Not by government or mutant-haters, but by creatures of the night. Vampires. They turned many students into their own, strengthening the kid's powers drastically. Amber Kahne was one of those attackers. Her powers are so unique and so rare. As you saw tonight, she has the power to drink a mutant's blood and absorb their powers. She grew so powerful that night that she nearly destroyed the school... and herself. It was terrible." He sighed, Jean closing her eyes as if in pain. He continued.
"She has all of the strengths of a vampire, but none of it's weaknesses. Magnus has been trying to catch her for years." He wheeled over to a giant computer mounted on a wall. Logan's eyes popped. How long had that thing been there? The professor typed in a username and very long password, and searched in his files for Amber Kahne. He clicked on the one with her name on it, and three documents came up. One said 'biography', another said 'pictures', and the last said 'other'. He clicked on the biography document. A picture of her smiling, at what looked like a movie theater, appeared. Another picture popped up with the first, both with paragraph after paragraph of updated information. The second picture looked like a security camera tape. It was of Amber gruesomely drinking a little girl. Logan made a face, and Xavior looked at him.
"It's to remind me that she has two sides. Everyone does." He scrolled down, going to the basic information first. He read it aloud, no one seeming to care.
