Well, as promised, here is that other Eldar fanart I was speaking of. And when I was looking for reference to drawing this, something sad occured to me. There is no official civilian art of the Eldar, or at least none I could find anywhere on the net. Why? It's clearly stated from official sources that many of the Eldar who are warriors are also civilians, but in times of war shed their robes of peace for armours of battle, to fight for the protection of their craftworlds and way of life. So... *shrugs*Anyhoo, hope you like, and hope I managed to capture at least a seemingly rare look of the race with this.

Haha, I must admit I do like that quote the Orks say when fighting the Eldar in DoW2:
"I can see ya Eldar are fightin', but when are ya gonna start hurtin' me?!"
Of course, that's roughly before a D-Cannon fires and rips the poor Ork to shreds...

I bought DoW2 and can't play it. Apparently something about my graphics card is incompatible.
Plus Steam is a nightmare to use when you're on dialup.

Shame your comp can't run DoW2 at any rate. It really is a lot better than its predecessor.

Fair enough, the base building is gone. It's a shame, but I think in a way it's an original move as well, especially since the terrain has become a lot more strategic to work with.

Most of the whining I've heard so far is about the Imperial Guard not being in the game anymore. That and something about vehicles being removed.

lol, you're kidding, right? There are still vehicles in the game, and in fact they're better and set more to scale. Plus they act as moving cover for your troops who can hide behind them, even when they're destroyed and leave ya wreckage.
The Imperial Guard haven't been implemented into the game yet, but I'm sure they will be in the next expansion or two. Same happened in DoW1, after all. And by the time they arrive, here's hoping the current armies will have a few more toys at the ready. The Eldar sure could use some jet bikes, because all they have at the mo are the Falcon and Fire Prism grav-tanks.

Hmm... I'm not sure, but I'm guessing no. They'll probably turn up in a later expansion, as I'm assuming Relic are going to save the big guns for most of the races till things have moved on a little bit in terms of the main game's story campaign... The Chaos Rising expansion essentially follows on from the original story, but I sure wish Relic work in some kind of galactic conquest mode where you can use any race other than the bloody space marines. They get old fast, save for Cyrus.

Methinks her waist needs to be a bit bigger. I know she is facing away, but if that is the case then the top part is disproportionate to her direction.
Overall, however, an excellent piece.

There's a tiny amount of reference material on how they look. The "Black Codex" way back when had a picture of Eldar civilians.

This was also a limited-release bonesinger to accompany Dawn of War. He's obviously equipped for the battlefield, though, so that's probably less useful to you.

lol, I'm going to take a stab at this, but I'm thinking that first image isn't canon anymore, unless it's to do with some speeder bike gang. Because those designs are just... wrong. Like the artist who drew them at the time was in love with David Bowie, Mad Max or something...
The bonesinger looks cool, but yeah. Looks more like battle attire. I honestly hope as DoW2 gets more expansions, there will be additional hero units added to the so far roster of three. A bonesinger hero could be quite cool...

I really love the design of the outfit that she's wearing as well as the posing of her arms. Her hair looks really wonderful.

There is something wrong with the anatomy of her. Well, the Eldar have a different one, but her breasts are way too big for the size of her waist.

Her waist isn't facing us directly. It's more on a side angle, so it may be why you think her waist is small. I think it might just be to do with how the clothing rests against her body though with the angle I was attempting, but couldn't draw it exactly as I willed.
