Description
Any human endangering the long term survival of the colony is put into "time out" and shut off from all facilities and infrastructure for a period of time based on the infraction.
They are given a survival pod outside of the main settlements and a daily ration, but nothing in the settlement will function for them.
Doors, transportation, toilets, vidscreens, communications all become unusable.
You'd be surprised how quickly losing convenience will change someone's attitude.
