When I was designing Gadget, his eyes were red. But I found his eyes were same as Klunk.Β
Gadget's character is not evil like Klunk, but he is also not hero like Ratchet, so I did not use red or green for his eyes.
I did not want to use blue or yellow for his eyes because they make him looks like hero. So, I finally chose purple.Β

I love how you took my vague idea of Gadget, and so poof transformed him into what we are seeing now, its genius pure genius
I think it was when I was playing through Crack in Time when I first had the idea of Gadget. It was after Azmuth told Ratchet that he knew his dad, and was good friends back in the day. I thought it would have been interesting if maybe for whatever reason, Ratchet having a twin brother somewhere hidden in the galaxy after Azmuth killed him. Kinda like Luke and Princess Leya where separated at birth in Star Wars, just minus the whole "heyΒ kissed my sister" lol, that sounds lame I know lol.
I remember stumbling on your art one day, and kept seeing what you was doing with Ratchet, and Lombax Clank and Klunk, that I remembered my idea about Gadget.
Then I was thinking that, hey if Lombax Clank gets and evil counterpart, why not Ratchet?
I pitched you my idea and not only did you run with it, you totally stole the whole show and now the rest is history XD

Hmm...One day, Gadget went to shopping and got lost. Β Klunk did not know about it so he got nervous when the outside got dark. And then, Klunk thought Gadget left because he did not nice to him. Β Klunk regretted what he done, and started to crying. But Gadget came back home late, and found his master was crying.
Gadget: M-Master!? Are you all right!?
Klunk: G-Gadget...You...came back...*stop crying*
Gadget: Of course, I did. I had a little trouble with-...
Klunk: *slap Gadget's cheek* You idiot !! Do you know how much I worried about you!?*start crying*
Gadget: M-master...*hugs Klunk* I am sorry.
