Likes pretty much everyone, his claws, his profession, his "mama and siblings" Nol, Aglaia, and Kei, coffee, smiling, helping others out, meat, designing small stuffed animals, changing into his favorite pair of sweatpants and loose long sleeved shirt after work, and being a protector.

Dislikes getting mad, crowded spaces, FPS video games [especially when girls beat him], getting his clothes dirty, rude people, disorganization, vegetables, and really loud noises.

He has a few odd quirks -- he talks very proper and will often use an unneeded amount of adjectives, such as: "Oh! My dear, what a pleasure it is to meet you on such a fine, a wonderful, an incredibly blissful day!". He rapidly taps his claws on surfaces when he's distressed, and if he's really unnerved he'll start clawing himself to shreds. He acts like a crack addict who had smoked their last rock 5 days ago if he takes off the metallic claws for too long. He also can't pronounce Aglaia's name right, and just simply calls her "aglagalialga" -- or something of that sort.

When Nol had brought the little plushie alive, it was with a terribly dark power that ended up physically manifesting itself into the metal claw rings Derren wears. Albeit a little mischievous, he really is a nice guy, but if the dark power locked away in his claws takes over his mind, he's a vicious killer. If enough energy is released, he'll transform into his alternate form. Derren's line of work caused him to form a rather macabre, but happy, disposition. He'll smile and hum while carving through a victims flesh, whistle a cheery tune while he hangs their body parts up on meat hooks for later assembling, and grab a few of his bodies to go get some starbucks shortly after. If there's a girl Derren's"interested" in, he tends to get very awkwardly clumsy and blunder easily. Derren, oddly enough, also likes to snuggle -- he's like a big, slightly deranged, teddy bear < U >
