This is my entry for this year's SSMB music collaboration. The "2012" is not a typo, haha. I submitted a cover last year, but back then I required Carbo’s help in the inking and coloring department.

Since I figured that most of the other covers would involve the “Sonic with headphones and/or guitar” motif, I decided to try something different here by giving the characters instruments that humorously fit their images. I thought Sonic would look cool with a conductor’s baton, due to that pose he often does and I can see him holding it that way. Nack has a “pop-trumpet” due to his pop gun being an iconic asset of his character. Knuckles has a lyre which he somehow manages to play with boxing gloves on, while I wanted to draw a classy looking Robotnik complete with a monocle and top hat, so I gave him a kazoo that he would hold like a cigar.
