100DoA 21/100: Heads in perspective studies!
3 weeks in, and I have never felt more excited or motivated by my art. Today I focussed on two things that terrify me; perspective, and people. I watched a brilliant tutorial by SamDoesArts and used some resources he introduced from sketchfab.com to draw 6 studies of blocky heads from different angles, studying the planes of the face as basic geometric shapes. Then I picked two to try and draw realistically, and frankly I was shocked by how much easier it felt. With every head, my confidence grew and my line work improved drastically. The first sketch took me nearly 20minutes. The last shaded, realistic head took me 5. I am so excited to see what my art looks like as I continue!
