Brief Description:

Franz was born in 1289, son of the kings of a remote kingdom of Europe (Now Stuttgart, Germany). Only child, he was very popular for his “heart of gold” actions. His family was respected in the entire kingdom. One day, his governess, Hester (an immortal witch), was looking for a hidden treasure on the castle, but Franz got it first: an ancient amulet with an unknown power. Hester, angry for Franz, tried to kill him, but the royal guard arrived on time and stopped her. Before her execution, Hester casted a spell over the royal family, killing the king and the queen and cursing their son, turning him into a beast. Hester got executed and “died”, leaving the curse on Franz. He ran away from the kingdom but it was too late: the transformation was complete. He was now half-human and half-dragon, his eyes, ears and hair changed. Before he could ask for help, he saw Hester, who was supposed to be dead. She cast a last spell, turning him into a statue, but she turns into a full dark dragon and escapes but turns into a stone statue like Franz.

Seven hundred years later, the Titans were on their worldwide journey looking for more young heroes and arrived on Germany. Nobody was able to communicate with the local people. Starfire got the idea to do the same that she did in Tokyo: kiss a boy to learn the language, but this time, Robin didn’t get surprised because he knew the ability of his friend. After being traveling all over Germany, they arrived on Stuttgart, where they heard about a legend of a teen who was turned into a beast and got petrified. The Titans went to the forest and found Franz’s stone statue.

Raven notice the amulet from Franz and grabbed it, but it starts to glow and Franz gets free from his stone prison. He couldn’t understand anything they were talking about, so Starfire did lip contact to understand him, but accidentally gives him the ability of language assimilation.

Franz was able to understand and speak with the Titans and tells Robin what happened with him. Suddenly, an earthquake happens and a dragon sets free from the stone prison. The dragon was actually Hester, the witch who cursed Franz. She told him that she will destroy him after 700 years imprisoned.

Robin offers help him to control his new discovered powers. After two months training, Franz can totally control his powers and adopts the hero name of Deneth, and joins to the Titans and moves to Cooperer City with the Titans North and the other Titans: Red Snake, Spiritual, Cybershock, Nightstrike and Chihiro.

While using his firebending and firebreath, the flames are electric blue.
