Description

Project Horizon was set in motion in the early days of 19BBY by soon-to-be Emperor Palpatine himself, ordering some of the first members of the Imperial Security Bureau to search for human children from ages 8-14 in underworld settings, such as Corellia and the lower levels of Coruscant, that showed promising abilities in the likes of intelligence gathering, hand-to-hand combat, armed combat and, digital and technical know-how. By the following year there were 113 conscripts, 62 male and 51 female. They were all shipped to Yinchorr, to where would stand The Imperial Royal Guard Academy. Upon reaching Yinchorr their last names were replaced by ID numbers creating a name such as Ben-2212 and they were given white ISB tunics and standard issue black breeches with black calf-high boots and a black officer cap. They were also given rank plaques with the color sequence of a Special Agent.
During their “tuition” the conscripts would be trained in piloting skills, hand-to-hand combat techniques (such as Teräs Käsi), armed combat (both ranged and melee weapons), bomb diffusion and making, poison identification and brewery, medical skills, assassination, asset recovery, and many other such skills.
After ten years of training there remained 28 conscripts, a 25.8% survival rate in conscripts. These conscripts were placed in seven squads, each containing 4 conscripts. These squads were given designations of Special Operation Squad 01 - 07 names starting with letters correspondence with the number the squad was e.g. squad one is Special Operation Squad 01 - A**** Squad.
These squads included:
Special Operation Squad 01 - Apache Squad
Special Operation Squad 02 - Banshee Squad
Special Operation Squad 03 - Crisis Squad
Special Operation Squad 04 - Daemon Squad
Special Operation Squad 05 - Enigma Squad
Special Operation Squad 06 - Fire-bolt Squad
Special Operation Squad 07 - Ghost Squad
These squads were also given colours that included:
Apache Squad - Orange
Banshee Squad - Aqua
Crisis Squad - Blue
Daemon Squad - Black
Enigma Squad - White
Fire-bolt Squad - Red
Ghost Squad - Grey
These Conscripts wore modified Naval Commando Armor that was made of Stygian-triprismatic polymer. Each member of a squad were sorted into the soldier classes of Assault, Heavy ,and Specialist. In each Squad there were two Assault soldiers, one Heavy soldier and one Specialist soldier. The Assault soldiers were given the choice of armament of a E-11 blaster rifle, DH-17 blaster rifle or a TL-50 heavy repeater. The Heavy soldier was given a choice of armament of a T-21B blaster rifle, DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle or a RT-97C. The Specialist soldier was given a choice of armament of a DLT-19X targeting rifle, A280C blaster rifle or a E-11s sniper rifle. All soldiers however, were equipped with one or two SE-14/c and multiple thermal detonators/imploders, as well as the ability to use any imperial resources as they see fit unless said so by the Emperor or Leader of The Imperial Security Bureau.
Of the seven Squads that came out of Project Horizon only four Squads remain, with only 11 of the original conscripts known to be alive. Two of these squads were reassigned from special operations to being Imperial Guards and teachers to the trainees becoming Imperial Guards. The other two squads that continue to perform special operations are Special Operation Squad 03 and 04.
