Description
The next entry in the bestiary is for the letter E!The each tened, or firehorse, comes from Irish folklore. This horse takes evil-doers unaware by pretending to be a regular, yet beautiful horse. Once the target mounts the horse, they become stuck to it's back. The horse then turns to its flame form, burning the rider. The rider can't dismount, and can't die, so they are doomed to ride for eternity, burning in the each tened's flames. A tale of an encounter with an each tened comes from a sailor who saw a man riding a flaming horse while far out at sea one night, and even though the water washed over the horse and rider, the flames did not go out.
